Another Evening with Susie White on Thursday 23rd May 2019

Our event on Saturday 27th April sold out so quickly, that Susie White and Stephen Tomlin have very kindly offered to present the talk again on Thursday 23rd May at R-G Gallery, Hexham.
Susie White is a writer, naturalist, artist and photographer as well as author of several books on Gardening. For eight years, Susie has contributed to the Guardian’s Country Diary, the century-old column on natural history and the countryside.
Stephen Tomlin has acted extensively in every medium since leaving drama school in 1972 as well as being a teacher, director, writer/researcher and role player. His audio work includes roles in The Archers, Home Frontand Writing the Centuryas well as many single dramas and classic serials. Stephen also produced promenade Shakespeare and other entertainments at Lancaster Castle under the demi-paradise banner from 2000 – 2016.
Susie's Country Diary columns and the journey of a year of drawing in a leporello have provided the inspiration for this evening. Susie and Stephen, will read extracts from the diaries and poetry. Susie’s sketchbooks will also be part of our group exhibition ‘Springtime Country Diary’ which also opens 4pm - 6pm on the 27th April.
