Nature, Man: archeology I
Original Graphite drawing by Mark Windle
Double mounted and framed in oak
Growing up in the North East, Mark moved to Leeds to study philosophy and continued to pursue his musical passion. Following a number of highly successful years devoted to music, Mark began drawing and painting. In 2011, Mark decided to return to the North East of England. He has since devoted his entire time to art, specifically to drawing. It’s the first time in his life he has created art without also being involved with music.
During this time Mark has worked prodigiously, filling dozens of sketchbooks and producing many hundreds of drawings with a variety of media, including, for the first time, graphite and Conte. Mark is very influenced by geometry and symmetry and his pieces are all created with mathematical precision.
